    Kiyomizu-dera Temple, located halfway up Otowa Mountain in Kyoto, has a history of about 1200 years.
    The building in the foreground is the 13-meter high Kiyomizu-dera stage, assembled in the batten structure (kakezukuri). Not a single nail is used.
